Teaching again (November 6)
Eric is very pleased to announce that he is now working as an acting teacher for the children's musical theatre company Sophistikids, which encourages youngsters to discover their dramatic talents. Headed by Ramesh Nair, widely known for his ad character "Der Inder" and as successful contestant on the ORF Show "Dancing Stars", the company boasts a collection of renowned teacher's and Eric is thrilled to be joining the team.
Christmas Carol Cast Complete! (October 17)
Auditions for Eric's production of "A Christmas Carol" for the International Theatre Vienna (incidentally, the 25th anniversary production!) took place at the end of September and so many talented colleagues participated. After careful consideration, offers were made and Eric is happy to announce that he really has found his dream casts - yes that's right: The main cast and an alternating cast were assembled, whose members present the ultimate best candidates from all the auditionees. The show opens November 16, tickets going on sale October 19. Be quick, from experience the run sells out within the first three days!
At home and abroad (September 18)
Eric is thrilled to have concluded two more directing assignments. After having recently directed "The Matchmaker" and conducted a teacher training workshop at the RSS Pötzleinsdorf, Eric will direct a version of Macbeth and a comedy for them in the new year. He will also be directing the Czech premiere of an Off-Broadway musical in Prague in spring. Details will follow soon!
A new season (September 1)
The theatrical year is beginning and is keeping Eric busy. After concluding his successful run of Boeing Boeing in Wolkersdorf, Eric returned to the International Theatre to rehearse for "Three men in a Boat" by Jerome K. Jerome, in which he is featured as the author. The show premiered on Spetember 15 and is playing until November 7. He has also taken over the Stage Management for the reprise of "Driving Miss Daisy". Parallel to all this, he is preparing the script for "A Christmas Carol", auditions for which are taking place at the end of September.
Summer is here (June 14)
and Eric is in the final weeks of reherasals for "Boeing, Boeing" in Wolkersdorf, in which he is playing the lead Robert. The show opens on July 25 and will run until August 29. Exact dates will follow. Apart from this, Eric is preparing his projects for autumn/winter, which include a feature role in "Three men in Boat" alongside Jack Babb and Brian Hatfield, his directing debut with a brand new version of "A Christmas Carol" for the International Theatre and the production of a musical in the Czech Republic. More details will follow after the summer.
